Each one comes with a custom, hand stenciled box for safe transport. The O-CD Series is designed, constructed and painted by hand in the Gareth Tristan Evans Studios in South Manchester. ELECTRIC LADYLAND (Original Front right & Back left Covers & Todays CD Cover). Yellow, blue, white, black, orange, grey and green. The case colour is optional to each disc and can be made to order. The case is simple to hang and is provided with screws, a spirit level and a set of instructions to assist.Įach artwork is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity that is in the form of a traditional CD and is made from a recycled CD disc and case. The ‘disc’ is ‘floated’ above the case using an acrylic box with two acrylic screws. Finished with hand sprayed metallic coloured inserts featuring the record label and release date. A Giclee printed canvas is hand pressed onto the Ply and varnished.
The second part, the ‘disc’ is also made from 6mm Ply. The case has the artist name, album (or single) name and the record label inlaid along the side. Each piece is hand constructed and painted. The ‘mount’ part is a supersized CD constructed from 6mm Ply. The two parts are the ‘mount’ and the ‘disc’. An artwork in two parts – the O-CD Series makes a stylish wink to the era of the music CD.
